After actress Prachi Desai was dropped from the cast of the sequel of her film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, there were all sorts of rumors doing the round that there was a cold war between Prachi Desai and film’s producer Ekta Kapoor. But Prachi points out that there arises no question of her being dropped from the sequel as the cast change was the obvious need of the sequel. She stated the justification logically, “The sequel will see the storyline take a 20-year leap, so none of the original star cast features in it. I think Akshay Kumar is playing the lead this time,” she said and further counter attacked by her following statement, “I don’t understand why nobody asks Emraan or Kangna (Ranaut) about their presence in the sequel,” she added.
This is not the first time that the news of her fall out with her mentor Ekta has hit the news but Prachi is unfazed by the rumors and has claimed that all is well between them, “I think people have all the time in the world to talk about these issues. I am a huge fan of Ekta,” said Prachi who was an Ekta protégé as she came under the spotlight after leading Ekta’s daily soap ‘Kasamh Se’.
